מעטות הן הפעמים בהן אני באמת מודה על החיים שלי. הדשא של השכן שלי תמיד ירוק יותר ואני לעולם לא עוצרת להריח את הורדים.

שני הספרים האלו בהחלט גרמו לי להריח את הורדים, להוקיר תודה ולהפנים שבריאות היא ממש לא מובנת מאליה...

אתחיל מהסוף - ולפני שתשללו על הסף, יש לסיפור הזה סוף טוב! סוף ששוזר תקווה ואמונה בכל אדם ומשאיר חיוך ענק על הפנים. 

אנדריאה היא בחורה צעירה, בשנות העשרים המוקדמות של חייה. היא חולת בלוקמיה (מגיל 17)  וכששום טיפול לא עוזר לה, הרופאה שלה מציעה לה לקחת חלק בטיפול ניסיוני שיכול להציל את חייה. על מנת לקבל את הטיפול שנמשך חודשים ארוכים היא עוברת לגור אצל אחותה, רחוק מעיר מגוריה. 
בלילה אחד בו היא מחליטה לצאת לבלות ולהתעלם מהעובדה שהיא חולה, היא מכירה את פארקר - חלומה של כל אישה...
השניים חווים לילה סוער, חד פעמי, מה שמתאים לאנדריאה ולמצב בו היא נמצאת. למרות שפארקר משאיר בה טעם של עוד, היא בורחת מדירתו עם האור הראשון ולא מביטה לאחור. עקב מחלתה היא שוללת מערכות יחסים ומאוד דיסקרטית בכל הקשור אליה.

רוצה הגורל והם נפגשים שוב. אנדריאה מנסה להתרחק ממנו ולהימנע מלפתח רגשות כלפיו, אך פארקר לא מרפה. הוא רוצה אותה ורק אותה ומתעקש על להשיג אותה. מסכים לכל תנאי שהיא מציבה ונותן לה להיות הבוס במערכת היחסית המורכבת הזאת.

למה מורכבת אתם שואלים? כי היא מסתירה ממנו את העובדה שחולה במשך תקופה ארוכה ומוצאת דרכים יצירתיות להסתיר את העובדה הכל כך חשובה הזאת.

פארקר הופך להיות כל עולמה וכשסוף סוף היא נפתחת ומספרת לו על מחלתה, הוא נשאר וביחד הם יוצאים למסע מטורף של חיים, חולי, אהבה ענקית והמוות שתמיד רובץ מעל ראשם.

הספר מלא בעליות ומורדות. רגעים קשים מאוד שלא ישאירו עין אחת יבשה בקהל, רגעים סקסיים מאוד שלא ישאירו איזורים אחרים יבשים... אהבה שתמלא לכם את הלב ותגרום לכם להתחנן לאחת כזאת (למי שעדיין אין, כן?)

הספר הזה הולך ללוות אותי לנצח ולגרום לי להעריך את החיים שלי מחדש. מושלם! פשוט מושלם! 

Seldom are the times when I really thank for my life and what I have in them.

The grass is always greener behind the other fence and I'm never one to stop and smell the roses. 

However, both these books have made me stop and smell the roses, and to be thankful for my life and my health, which I shouldn't take for granted at all.

I will start from the ending - before you make your mind about this book and reject it on the basis of possible heartbreak - the book has a HEA! (Happily ever after). An ending that gives you hope and faith in human beings and leaves you with a huge smile on your face.

Aundrea is a young girl, in her early twenties. She is suffering from leukemia (since she was 17) and when she doesn't respond to any of the conventional treatments she's been given, her doctor offers her to part-take in a new, breakthrough treatment that can save her life. To be able to receive the treatment - which should be given to her for long months - she is moving in with her sister, far from the city she's lived in since birth.

One night when Aundrea decides to go out and ignore her disease, she meets Parker - every woman's dream. 

The two share a steamy night - a one night stand - which is fine by Aundrea considering her current situation. Even though Parker sticks in her mind, she runs away from his apartment the minute the sun rises and doesn't look back. Because of her illness, she is against starting relationships and is very discrete with anything to do with her life.

But fate has other plans and the two meet again. Aundrea is trying to push him away and to prevent developing feelings from him, but Parker just wouldn't let go. He wants her and only her and he insists on getting her. He accepts every rule and ultimatum she gives him and allows her to be the boss of this complicated relationship. Why complicated, you ask? Because she is hiding the fact that she is sick from him for a very long time and even finds creative ways to keep him in the dark.

Parker is becoming Aundrea's whole world and when she finally tells him about the disease, they stick together and have the journey of a life, sickness, great love and the death that's always there, lurking from the shadows.

The book is full of ups and downs. Of very difficult moments that will have you shedding tears for sure. There are also sexy times that will keep other parts of your body moisturized. There's love that would make your heart beg to have what these two have (if you don't have a love like this already).

This book is going to stick with me forever and to remind me to appreciate my life. 

Perfect, simply perfect!

Stone Walls By A.M Madden (my review in Hebrew & English)

זה המשפט שמשך אותי בדף הסופרת להיכנס לקרוא את התקציר של הספר. 

השם נשמע מוכר?בן סטון/בן סטורם - ביררתי, אין קשר בין השניים ;-)

כל מי שמכירה אותי יודעת שיש לי חולשה לכוחות הביטחון. אני קוראת עליהם. כותבת שני ספרים במקביל על שני שוטרים מעלפים וגם עובדת איתם ביום יום (אבל זה כבר סיפור אחר…מאכזב למדי.)

כאן נכנס בן סטון לתמונה. שוטר ניו יורקי עם עבר טראומטי שגורם לו להציב חומות סביב הלב שלו וחשיבה גרועה על עצמו שמביאה אותו לחיות חיים בנאליים של קשרים ללא מחויבות. הקשר המחייב היחיד שלו הוא לעבודה. "My job is my mistress"

בערב יום הולדתו ה- 28, השותף שלו, רוב, ובת זוגו, אנדריאה, מתעקשים להכיר לו מישהי. הוא כמובן מתנגד ומבהיר להם שאינו מעוניין במערכת יחסים אבל כדי לא לאכזב אותם, הוא מגיע ומופתע לגלות את ההפך.

אלה פרקר, חברתה הטובה של אנדריאה, גם היא מחלימה ממקרה טראומטי ששינה את חייה ועם רצון מאוד ברור לא להיכנס למערכת יחסים. כשאנדריאה מתעקשת לגרור אותה לפאב ולהכיר לה את בן היא מבהירה לה את כוונותיה וגם היא מופתעת לגלות את ההפך.

בעיצומה של מלחמה פנימית של השניים להתנגד אחד לשני, בן ורוב מתחילים לעבוד עם ה- FBI על חקירה הכוללת משפחות פשע, סמים, רציחות ועוד. העבר של בן מתערבב עם ההווה שלו בזמן שגם העבר של אלה מתערבב עם אותו הווה. כיווני החקירה מביאים אותו להתמודד עם תגליות לא פשוטות לגביה שהוא חייב לשמור אותם בסוד מתוקף תפקידו.

בזמן שהוא נלחם להגן עליה מכל התגליות בתיק החקירה, הוא נלחם גם בכל הרגשות החדשים שמציפים אותו. בזמן שהתפקיד שלו הוא הדבר הראשון בסדר העדיפויות שלו, החומות נסדקים וסדרי העדיפויות משתנים.

הספר כתוב גם מהצד שלו וגם משלה. אהבתי מאוד את הדומיננטיות של בן בספר ואת העובדה שהסופרת הכניסה אותנו יחד איתו לכל פרטי החקירה.

בשפה מדליקה מלאה בהומור, מתח מיני ואקשן לאורך כל הסיפור – זה בהחלט ספר שלא כדאי לפספס! ואם כבר אהבה – זאת האהבה שאני מאחלת לעצמי! 

Have you met Ben Stone?

This is the sentence that drew me into reading this book's blurb.

Everyone who knows me know how much I like the special forces. I like reading about them, I like writing about them (I write two separate stories about drool-worthy cops) and I work with them on a day-to-day basis (this part is kind of disappointing, though!).

This is where Ben Stone gets into the picture. He is an NYPD cop with a traumatic past that made him build walls around his heart and some personal issues that make him live inane, boring life without meaningful relationship. His only strong relationship is with his job ("My job is my mistress").

On the evening of his 28th birthday, his partner, Rob, and his girlfriend, Andrea, insist on introducing him to a new woman. Obviously, he refuses and tells them that he doesn't do relationships. At the end, though, he doesn't want to disappoint them so he shows up and that's when he gets thoroughly surprised.

Ella Parker, Andrea's best friend, has been healing from a traumatic experience herself. She, too, doesn't do relationship and has been through a life-altering experience that's definitely left her scarred. When Andrea drags her into a pub and forces her into meeting Ben, she, too, is all about not giving it a go, but she turns out to be just as surprised as Ben.

In the midst of an internal war with himself, Ben and Rob start working on an FBI case in which they get mixed up with mob families and murder cases, among other things. Ben's past gets mixed with his present, at the same time Ella's past mixes up with her present. The investigation he leads in this FBI case lead him to revelations about Ella he has to keep for himself, as a part of his professional obligation.

Whilst fighting to defend her from all the revelations he discovered in the investigation, he also finds himself fighting his overwhelming emotions. While his job is still his first priority, the walls around his heart crack and his priorities change.

The book is written from two POV's - Ben and Ella's. I loved Ben's dominance in the book and the fact that the author has given us a glimpse of all parts of the investigation.

In a well-written style, full of humor, sexual tension and action throughout the story - this is definitely a book you don't want to miss out on. 

If I ever do love - this is the kind of love I'd like for myself! 

Chasing the Dragon (Deception Duet #1) - By TK Leigh (Reviewd in Hebrew & English)

למה תמיד שאני רוצה לסקר את הספרים שלTK  המילים שלי נתקעות?? כאילו כל מילה שאכתוב לא תבטא מספיק את מידה ההערכה שיש לי לסופרת ולכישרון הכתיבה שלה. במילה אחת - מושלמת!

הספר מספר את סיפורם של מקנזי דלנו וטיילר בורנהם (כן, כן, קראתן נכון את שם המשפחה שלו! זה אח של בעלי היקר!). מקנזי, היא בחורה צעירה ה"חמושה" ביומן צמוד, סודות גדולים מעברה וחומות הגנה.  היא מנהלת את חייה תחת מסגרת אחת של זמנים מוגדרים, שליטה מוחלטת וחוסר אמון באהבה. קצת לפני שהיא מגשימה את חלומה ופותחת את המסעדה שלה, היא מכירה את טיילר (דינג! דינג! דינג!) איש מסתורי שמסקרן אותה ומצליח לאט לאט לחדור אל תוך עולמה. מה שמקנזי לא יודעת זה שלטיילר יש סוד – הוא נשכר ע"י אחיו (אלכסנדר אהובי) לעקוב אחריה ולגלות פרטים על מקום הימצאו של אביה החשוד במעורבות במעשה טרור.

טיילר מצליח להתקרב אליה, נקשר אליה וכנגד כל המלחמות שלו מול עצמו ומול התפקיד שאמור לבצע, מתאהב בה עד כלות. טיילר של העבודה מתערבב עם טיילר האמיתי שמתמודד עם כאב אובדן האהבה של חייו. גם הוא מתחבא בתוך חומות ההגנה שהציב סביב עצמו ושלאט לאט מתחילים להתפורר בזכות היכרותו עם מקנזי.

בתוך כל מערבולת הרגשות הזאת קורים עוד ועוד אירועים הקשורים בעברה המורכב והסודי של מקנזי שמסכנים את חייה וטיילר עושה ככל ביכולתו להגן עליה אך בו זמנית ממשיך להסתיר ממנה את הסוד הנורא שמעיק עליו בלי סוף.

מסיפור אהבה חם וטעים במיוחד לסיפור מתח מרתק, TK גולשת איתנו על גלי הטירוף ולא משאירה כאן רגע דל של שקט. מקונספירציות לטרוריסטים, מטרוריסטים לקטעי סקס מעולים ומקטעי הסקס לרגעים מרגשים שייגעו בכל נקודה בכן.

נהניתי מאוד מאוד מאוד ויותר מכל, התרגשתי לפגוש את הדמויות שהפכו את טרילוגיית Beautiful Mess למה שהיא – יצירת מופת!

לגבי החלק השני של הספר (יש רק שניים, אל דאגה!) – מכינה את הפינצטה ואת השערות ברגליים להמתנה מורטת עצבים...

ולא לשכוח בנות – אלכסנדר שלי ורק שלי!!! J

 Why is it that every time I want to write a review for one of T.K Leigh's books, my words get stuck and I'm all tongue-tied?!

No matter what I'll say, it will never do justice to my appreciation to T.K's talent.

This book tells us the story of Mackenzie Delano and Tyler Burnham (Yup, you read it right. Tyler is my husband's brother!). Mackenzie is a young woman who obsessed with her timetable. She carries huge secrets and high walls that she's built around herself. She runs her life under times and codes written by her and her alone, has complete self-control over everything in her life and doesn't believe in love.

A little before her dream of opening her own restaurant comes true, she bumps into Tyler (Ding, ding, ding!), a mysterious man who managed to dig his way into her world, albeit slowly and cautiously. What Mackenzie doesn't know is that Tyler has a secret - he was hired by his brother (AKA Alexander, the love of my life) to follow her and discover details about the whereabouts of her father, who is suspected to be involved with terrorist organizations.

Tyler is successful in getting closer to her, but he also gets attached, and despite his inner wars with himself and the mission he was sent to accomplish, he falls in love with her. Work Tyler and Real Tyler seem to get mixed up when he deals with the loss of the love of his life. He, who is hiding behind tall walls himself, finds these walls breaking thanks to Mackenzie.

Inside this whirlwind romance, more and more events related to Mackenzie's complicated past are starting to unfold. Tyler does everything he can to protect his lover, but he also continued on keeping this secret from her, even though it is absolutely killing him.

T.K is riding with us on the waves of complete and utter madness, from a delicious love stories to a thrilling plot line, not leaving a moment for us to catch our breath. From conspiracies to terrorists, from terrorists to mind-blowing sex scenes and a lot of emotional moments that would make every nerve in your body respond to this story. It just has it all!

I had tons of fun reading this novel, and more than anything, I was excited to get back and meet the characters who made the Beautiful Mess trilogy the masterpiece that it was.

As for the second part of the book (there are only two of them, not to worry) - I already have my twizzer in hand since I'll be plucking my hair in anticipation for the next one!

And don't forget, girls - Alexander is mine and mine only!

The Beatiful Mess Series - By T.K Leigh (Review in Hebrew & English)

עברה שנה בדיוק מאז שגיליתי את הטרילוגיה המדהימה הזאת ועד היום, היא מס' אחת ברשימת ההמלצות שלי. הסופרת T.K LEIGH הפכה לסופרת האהובה עליי מכל הזמנים וכל הספרים שכתבה אחרי הטרילוגיה הזו, לא ירדו מאיכותה ולו במעט!
אז לכבוד יום השנה להיכרותי עם מר אלכסנדר בורנהם (שלימים הפך לבעלי הספרותי ואב ילדיי) משתפת אתכן בסיקור שכתבתי ל"לוחשות לספרים" ביוני 2014, והתחושות הן אותן תחושות בדיוק, גם היום....

אני כבר יומיים מנסה לחשוב איך להתחיל את הסיקור הזה ואיך להביא את מה שאני מרגישה למילים מבלי לפגוע באיכות הטרילוגיה המושלמת הזו….אז ככה:
הטרילוגיה מספרת על אלכסנדר ואוליביה. אלכסנדר הוא בחור בן 30, חתיך הורס, יוצא צבא ובעלים של חברת האבטחה הכי מצליחה בארה"ב. הוא מתמודד כל חייו עם אובדן חברת הילדות היקרה שלו, אוליביה, שנהרגה בתאונת דרכים יחד עם הוריה כשהיה בן 9 ומסרב להאמין שהיא באמת מתה. הוא לא מוכן לתת את ליבו לאף אחת אחרת גם 21 שנים אחרי התאונה. החלומות עליה ממשיכים לרדוף אותו והוא ממשיך לחפש אותה כנגד כל הסיכויים. אוליביה בת 28, בעלים של מרכז בריאות ואורח חיים, אצנית וזמרת, יתומה מהורים שנהרגו בתאונת דרכים כשהייתה בת 6 ואובדן הדוד שלה שהיה האפוטרופוס היחיד בחייה. היא נשארת הניצולה היחידה מהתאונה וכל זיכרון מלפני התאונה נעלם לחלוטין ממוחה. היא מסרבת להרגיש, מסרבת להתקרב לאנשים ומסרבת לפתוח את ליבה לגברים. היא חיה בגישה של סטוץ ו"עוף לי מהמיטה" והיא ומערכות יחסים הן ממנה והלאה.
בלילה אחד נורא בו מנסים לתקוף אותה, היא נתקלת באלכסנדר שמציל אותה ומטפל בפצעיה. הוא לא מאמין כמה היא דומה לחברת הילדות שלו מהעבר ומחליט להתקרב אליה על מנת לגלות מי היא באמת.
 הם מתחילים לצאת ומתאהבים אחד בשני, החלקים בפאזל מתחילים להתחבר ואלכסנדר מגלה שהאישה שעומדת מולו היא אכן אוליביה שלו מהעבר. כשאיום גדול מהעבר רובץ מעל ראשה, הוא מחליט שלא לספר לה מי היא כי כל זיכרון שיעלה לה, יכול להוביל למותה. היחסים ביניהם מתלהטים ושניהם לומדים ביחד מה זה להרגיש, אוליביה מתקשה עם הפחד מהאובדן הנוסף שעלול להגיע ואלכסנדר מתקשה עם הסתרת האמת ממנה. הוא מגלה יותר ויותר איומים על חייה ונלחם בכל כוחו על מנת להגן עליה ולא לאבד אותה שוב.
 הסדרה מביאה עימה גילויים מרעישים, רגשות כואבים ומטלטלים, מלאה בהפתעות וכל פעם שחשבתי "הנה הבנתי מה קורה פה" נשימתי נעתקה וגיליתי טוויסט חדש.
 זה מצחיק שהספר משתייך לז'אנר האירוטי כשהחלקים של הסקס (הלוהטים!!!) הם רק החלק הנלווה מבחינתי לסיפור אהבה יחיד במינו וסיפור מתח מטלטל ומפתיע.
אני יכולה לספור על פחות מכף יד אחת, כמה ספרים השפיעו עליי כמו שהטרילוגיה הזו השפיעה עליי.
בכיתי בלי סוף, התאהבתי, התרגשתי, התרסקתי והופתעתי כל פעם מחדש!!
 זו הטרילוגיה הראשונה והיחידה של הסופרת ואני צופה לה עתיד מטורף.  אותי היא כבר קנתה, אז תעצרו הכל ותתחילו לקרוא אותה כי במילה אחת – מושלם!!!

It's been a year since I discovered this amazing trilogy and 'till today, it is still no.1 on my recommendation list. Author T.K LEIGH has become my favorite author of all time and all the other books that she has published after that trilogy were just as amazing as this one was.

So to celebrate my anniversary meeting Mr. Alexander Burnham (who became my book husband and the father of my children the day I first read him), I want to share with you the review that I wrote to "The Books Whisperers" on June 2014. And the feelings - the feelings are still the same….

I've been trying to wrap my head around how the hell I'm going to write about this trilogy, because everything I'll write would still be underwhelming in comparison to these three, perfect masterpieces. But still, here goes:

The Beautiful Mess trilogy gives us the story of Olivia and Alexander. Alexander is a 30 year old ex-marine hottie who also happens to be the owner of the biggest security systems company in the US. He's been dealing his whole life with the loss of his childhood best friend, Olivia (Olibia!) who died in a car accident along with her parents when he was nine years old. He struggles to believe that she is dead, even after all those years, and refuses to give his heart away to anyone else other than her, even 21 years later. His dreams about her continue to dominant and he keeps looking for her, even after all those years, and against all odds. Olivia, 28, is the owner of a lifestyle and fitness center, a runner and a singer, an orphan who lost her parents at the age of six and has also lost her uncle, her only relative and the person who was her legal guardian. She remains the only survivor of this accident, but remembers nothing about the event and her childhood prior to the accident. She refuses to feel, refuses to get close to people and to open her heart to men. She lives on a whim, one-night-stands kind of life. Relationships are the farthest thing in the world from her.

On horrible night, she is being attacked on the street, and that's when Alexander comes to her rescue and attends her wounds. When he does, he is taken aback and shocked with the similarities of this stranger to his childhood friend. Alexander decided to invest in his relationship with Olivia and become closer to her to find out who she really is. They start going out together and fall in love, and the pieces of the puzzle fall quickly in line, everything makes sense, and Alexander finds out that the woman he is seeing is indeed the same Olivia he has lost all those years ago. When he huge threat over her life hangs over her head, Alexander decides to keep the secret of her past from her firmly tucked in his heart and not tell her about what happened - because triggering her memory can also trigger her death. In the meantime, their relationship just gets steamier and deeper, they fall desperately for each other, but Olivia is struggling with her new-found feelings for this man and with the secret she knows that he is keeping from her. Alexander finds out more and more reason not to trigger her memory and tell her who she is when he finds out in just how much danger Olivia really is, and fights with all his might, refusing to lose her ever again. This series brings with it some new and amazing emotions and revelations, it is definitely full of surprises and every time I thought I got a hold of the plot and all of its twists, my breath was taken away by a new turn of events. It's funny that this book is considered to be in the erotic genre when the erotic parts (which are extra freaking steamy!!!) are just an addition to a beautifully written story with loads of suspense and a healthy dose of surprises. I can count on one hand (and not use all my fingers, mind you) how much I've been effected by books like I have been by this trilogy. I cried myself to oblivion and back, I fell in love, I felt an overdose of emotions, I crashed and I gasped my surprise time and time again (I still cry sometimes by the way, it's the first trilogy by an author I actually expect to become a huge and epic success in the future). T.K Leigh already has me under her thumb, so please stop whatever it is you're doing and start reading her. In one word - Perfect!

Review for Trouble by Samantha Towle

Some books just leave me speechless. I need a few days to process everything I've read and experienced just to bring all of my emotions into coherent sentences and onto my Word document. That's how I can put through my reading experience the best way possible. So there it is, a few days have passed and I am going to do my absolute best so that you'll fall in love, exactly as I have, with this beautiful story:

Mia, a girl in her 20's, a Harvard med student who lives in Boston has been abused by her father throughout her whole life. She has been orphaned from her mother when she was just a baby and therefore have been sentenced to a terrible life of suffering. When the best day of her life - the day her father passes away - finally arrives, she feels free! She is beginning to enjoy herself and regains good faith in herself, believing she can turn her life around. However, this faith is short-lived once she enters an abusive relationship which mimics the one she's had with her father. Forbes, her partner, hits her and emotionally abuses her, and she has to put up with this suffering for months upon months. The day he tries to rape her, she finally leaves everything behind and runs away.

Mia takes her car keys and escapes to the farthest place possible. She ends up in Colorado, in a faraway hotel, where she meets Jordan.

And ladies - you do not want to miss on the very dear Mr. Jordan Matthews!

Jordan is a handsome player, a devil-may-care guy who obviously doesn't do relationships. His dog, Dozer, is actually the only thing he seems to be fully committed to. But once Mia enters his life, everything changes! Jordan gets carried away by Mia, allowing himself to feel things he's never felt before. From being the guy who is looking to get into a girl's pants, he turns out to be the guy who takes care of his girl and shows patience and a caring heart - at any given moment. When she opens up to him about her painful past, everything he wants to do is to love and protect her. Little by little Mia learns how to trust Jordan and how to put her trust in other people. They fall in love and begin to build an enchanting relationship.

Unfortunately, the two don't survive when secrets from the past of Mia's mother regarding Jordan's late mom creep into their relationship. Once again, Mia runs away, only this time, her running away ends up differently...

Samantha Towle is known for her ability to let us, her readers, feel everything from everything - literally every set of emotions - all whilst making us laugh at the right places. 

When you read the book, keep one thing in mind - Dozer is the man!

Trouble" by Samantha Towle"

יש ספרים שמשאירים אותי לפעמים ללא מילים. אני צריכה כמה ימים לעבד את כל מה שקראתי וחוויתי כדי להביא את כל הרגשות האלה לתוך דף WORD ולהעביר את חווית הקריאה בצורה הטובה ביותר.

אז הנה, עברו כמה ימים ואעשה את המיטב כדי שתתאהבו, כמוני, בסיפור היפהפה הזה:

מיה, בחורה בשנות העשרים לחייה, סטודנטית לרפואה בהרווארד שבבוסטון הייתה קורבן לידיו המכות של אביה במשך כל ימי חייה. היא התייתמה מאמה עוד כשהייתה תינוקת ונידונה לחיי סבל נוראיים. ביום המאושר בחייה – יום הפטירה של אביה, היא מרגישה משוחררת! מתחילה לחיות וליהנות באמונה שלמה שתוכל לשקם את החיים שלה.  האמונה הזאת נגדעת מהר מאוד כשהיא נכנסת למערכת יחסים זהה למערכת שהייתה לה עם אביה. פורבס, בן זוגה, מכה אותה, מתעלל בה נפשית והיא סופגת וסופגת במשך חודשים. ביום בו הוא מנסה לאנוס אותה, היא עוזבת הכל ובורחת. לוקחת רק את מפתחות הרכב שלה ונוהגת רחוק ככל האפשר. היא מגיעה לקולורדו, למלון מרוחק ופוגשת בג'ורדן...

פלייר חתיך, חסר עכבות שמערכות יחסים הן כמובן לא בראש מעייניו. הכלב שלו DOZER הוא היחיד שהוא מחוייב אליו, אבל כשמיה נכנסת לתוך חייו – הכל משתנה.

ג'ורדן נסחף אחריה, מרגיש דברים שלעולם לא הרגיש. מלהיות זה שמחפש להכניס כל אחת למיטה, הוא מקשיב למיה ולצרכים שלה, סבלני וסובלני כלפיה בכל רגע נתון. כשהיא נפתחת בפניו ומספרת לו על העבר הקשה שלה, כל מה שהוא רוצה לעשות זה רק להגן עליה ולאהוב אותה.  לאט לאט מיה לומדת לסמוך על ג'ורדן ובכלל על כך שיכול להיות טוב בבני אדם. הם מתאהבים אחד בשני ומתחילים לבנות מערכת יחסים זוגית מקסימה.

השניים לא שורדים לאורך זמן כשסודות מעברה של אמה של מיה, נקשרים באמו המנוחה של ג'ורדן, מתגלים ומערערים את כל מערכת היחסים ביניהם. מיה שוב בורחת רק שהפעם הבריחה שלה מסתיימת אחרת....

הסיפור כולו עוסק בנושאים מטלטלים מאוד – התעללות פיזית, נפשית, חוסר ביטחון, אובדן, הפרעות אכילה ועוד. זהו בהחלט ספר שישאיר אתכן עם דופק מהיר, תובנות לחיים וחשק ענק לבחור כמו ג'ורדן לצידכן :-)

לפתוח בלוג, זה משהו שתמיד קינן בי, אך מעולם לא היה לי האומץ.
כל כך הרבה חפירות בפייסבוק ובכל מדיה אפשרית ואומץ? סירייסלי? זה באמת מה שהיה חסר לי?? לא ברור!

ו- 3 חתולות מהממות (מיצי, נאלה וקיטי).
מלבד האהבה הענקית שלי לבעלי חיים, אני חולת ספרים! מכורה קשות! וחיה עמוקות בכל העולם הענק הזה שמורכב ממילים... קריאה, כתיבה, עברית, אנגלית, רומנטיקה, מתח, אירוטיקה (גגרררררר) u name it ואני בעניין!
