אני מודה שלא קראתי אותה, למרות שהיא ממתינה לי בקינדל כבר חודשים, אבל אחרי ההיכרות הנוכחית עם הכתיבה המ-ד-ה-י-מ-ה שלה, אני בהחלט הולכת לתקן את העוול הנורא.

אז מה היה לנו כאן?

אנדי אמארו גדלה כל חייה בסביבה של מכוניות וגברים. אבא שלה היה נהג מירוצים מהמצליחים בעולם ולכן זה היה המקום הטבעי שלה גם כשהתבגרה.

בגיל 10 בעיצומו של מירוץ, המכונית של אביה מתפוצצת לנגד עיניה כשהוא בתוכה ומשאירה אותה עם משקעים גדולים המלווים אותה גם בחייה הבוגרים.

למרות הכאב הגדול שמלווה אותה בכל צעד בחייה, היא ממשיכה ללכת עם האהבה שלה ולומדת מכונאות. הופכת את זה למקצוע הראשי שלה ומצליחה למצוא עבודה כחלק מצוות המכונאים של נהג המירוצים הנודע, קאריק ריאן.

אוי קאריק קאריק קאריק, מה כבר אני יכולה לספר לכן עליו?? רק המחשבה עליו גורמת לי לעשות פליק פלאקים באוויר מאושר!

עלם החמודות ידוע כפלייר רציני וכל מי שעובדת בצוות שלו ונכנסת איתו למיטה, מוצאת את עצמה מהר מאוד ללא עבודה.

אנדי, שכבר מראש עשתה הסכם עם עצמה, לא להיכנס למערכות יחסים עם נהגים, מצליחה לעמוד בקסם של קאריק, אך לא לאורך זמן (נו באמת, גם אני הייתי מוכנה לחתום בלשכה בשביל לילה איתו!).

הם מחליטים להיות חברים טובים ומצליחים לזמן מסוים, אך אתן בטח יכולות לתאר לעצמכן לאן החברות הזאת הולכת… בדיוק!! היא הולכת למקום חם ורטוב!! מקום מורכב ומלא לבטים בו האהבה והפחד מתנגשים ולא יכולים להסתדר ביחד.

בסיפור שמלא במתח מיני, שנינות, התרגשויות וכאב גדול (!!) סמנתה מביאה לכן ספר שייקח אתכן למערבולת של רגשות. כפי שציינתי קודם, זאת הפעם הראשונה שאני קוראת ספר שכתבה והיא בהחלט שבתה אותי עם היכולת שלה לגרום לי להרגיש ה-כ-ל דרך המילים!

התחברתי מאוד לאנדי, לכאב ולפחדים שלה. הצורך שלה להיות תמיד בשליטה ולא להיכנע לרגשות גם כשמותר.

אני חושבת שכל מי שאיבדה מישהו יקר בחיים שלה (אבא בפרט…), תוכל להתחבר לגיבורה ולסיפור, לאהוב אותה ולכעוס עליה אך בו בזמן גם להבין אותה.תהנו! תהנו! תהנו! בהחלט ממליצה בחום.

I heard a lot of great things about the author, Samantha Towle, when her previous work, The Mighty

Storm trilogy, became a massive hit. Admittedly, I've been planning on reading TMS, but postponed it for the past two months. Now that I've read Towle's work, I'm definitely going to indulge in the trilogy and read it back to back.

So what have we got here? Strong-minded, charming heroine? - Check. Hotttttttttttttttttttt hero (no other titles necessary) - Check A love story tangled with emotions - Check Sexual tension that would make one moan in their sleep - Check Steamy, steamy, steamy sex - Check!!!

Andi Amaro was raised among cars and men her whole life. Her dad was one of the best Formula 1 drivers in the world and that's why she felt so familiar with this topic growing up. When she was 10, her dad's F1 car exploded in the middle of the race when he was inside it - right in front of her eyes. This leaves her with baggage and trauma that she takes with her, the angst and pain of the loss still present in her life as a grown up. Despite the pain, she continues on fulfilling her dream and becomes a F1 mechanic. In fact, she's so good at what she does, she manages to nail a job as one of the mechanic crew of F1 star Carrick Ryan. Oh, my God, Carrick! I don't even know where to begin with this guy. The mere thought of him makes me want to break into a flic-flac!

This gorgeous player has been known as someone who bed every girl he comes across, and every girl who works as a part of his team and sleeps with him ends up jobless. Andi, who has already decided long ago not to enter a relationship with drivers, manages not to fall for Carrick's charm, but not for long (I mean, come on, I would so go on the dole for this man!). They both decide they're merely good friends and even manage to maintain this status for a while, but you can see where this is heading from a mile....yup! It's going to get dirty. And messy. To a complicated place where second thoughts, love and fear collide.

Towle brings you a story full of sexual tension, witty banter, excitement and the sense of a huge loss and angst. This book will send you in a whirlwind of emotions. As I stated before, this is the first book by Towle that I've read, and she definitely charmed me to no end with her ability to make me feel so many feelings through her writing.

I felt very connected to Andi, to her pain and her fears. Her need to always maintain control and never give into your emotions, even if you should, made her a truly complex, believable character. I think anyone who has experienced a loss in their lives (especially the loss of your dad) can connect with the character and the story, to love her, to get angry with her but essentially to also understand where she's coming from.

Enjoy yourselves, for this is one recommendation I give without any hesitation! I absolutely loved it!

ובכן, היא עושה זאת פעם נוספת! סמנתה טאוול שהביאה לנו כל כך הרבה סיפורים חמים ומיוחדים, מחזירה אותנו למסלולי פורמולה 1, במהירות מופרזת, לסיפורו של כוכב נוסף שלא ישאיר אתכן אדישות אליו....

הכרתן אותו ב- REVVED  כיריב המושבע של קאריק ועכשיו הוא חוזר בספר שמוקדש כולו לו – מר ליאנרדו סילבה!!! הפלייר הנצחי שלא יודע דבר וחצי דבר על אהבה, מוצא את עצמו במערכת יחסים בלתי אפשרית שמעצבת את חייו מחדש.

אז ככה....

לאחר שכמעט איבד את חייו בתאונה קשה על המסלול לפני שנה, ליאנרדו מתקשה לחזור לעצמו. הוא סובל מהתקפי חרדה ולא מסוגל לחזור לנהוג בזמן שכל מה שהוא רוצה לעשות, זה לחזור ולהיות מי שהיה קודם. הוא חי חיים ריקים של שתייה ונשים מרובות ולא מוצא את הדרך להשתקם נפשית.

בהמלצת קאריק הוא מגיע לקליניקה של אינדיה האריס, פסיכולוגית, אם חד הורית והאחת שמצליחה לכבוש אותו מהשנייה הראשונה בה הם נפגשים.

אינדיה, שכל חייה עבדה קשה להשיג חיים טובים עבורה ועבור בנה, לא מצליחה להישאר אדישה לנוכחותו של ליאנרדו. היא נלחמת ברגשותיה כלפיו ויודעת שאסור לה לחצות את הקו בין מטפל ומטופל. היא נחושה לעזור לו לחזור ולהיות מי שהיה קודם ובמקביל נחושה שלא לערב אותו בחייה הפרטיים.

הגורל לא משחק לטובתה שהיא ובנה נתקלים בו בתחנת הרכבת ומבלי להתכוון, הוא הופך להיות מעורב בחיי השניים. ככל שליאנרדו מתקרב יותר, אינדיה מנסה להתרחק ולהיאבק בכל כוחה בשמירה על הקוד האתי לו נשבעה. השניים נכנסים למערבולת של משיכה חייתית, רגשות חזקים ומלחמה פנימית כנגד כל הסיכויים.

סמנתה, כהרגלה, מצליחה להחזיק אותנו חסרי נשימה מהדף הראשון ועד האחרון, בכתיבה משובחת, מתח מיני שיכול לפוצץ בניין ורגעים מצחיקים בין ליאנרדו וקאריק שגרמו לי לצחוק בקול!

Well she did it again! Samantha Towle, the author who brought us so many hot, unique stories, takes us back to the Formula 1's tracks, in high speed, to meet another star that won't leave you apathetic for a second!

You've met him in REVVED as Carrick's sworn enemy and now he is back with a book of his own – Mr Leanrdo Silva!!! The timeless player who doesn't know the meaning of love whatsoever, finds himself in an impossible relationship that reshapes his life.

So here it goes…

After almost losing in life on the track a year ago, Leanrdo struggles to get 

back on his feet. He's having anxiety attacks and can't get himself to sit behind the wheel and drive while all he wants is to get back to being the man he used to be. He lives a worthless life of alcohol and countless of women and can't find the way to mentally recover.

Listening to Carrick recommendation, he's going to meet India Harris – a psychology therapist and a single mom who conquers his heart from the moment they meet.

India, who worked very hard to achieve a good life for her and her son, doesn't stay apathetic to Leandro presence. She fights her feelings for him and knows she can't cross the therapist/patient line. She is determined to help him to get back to who he used to be and at the same time to keep him out of her personal life. 

Fate isn't in her favor when she and her son bump into Leanrdro at the train station. Without being ready for it, he's starting to be too involved in their lives. 

The closer he gets, the harder she struggle of being away from him and keeping the oath she took as a psychologist. 

The two of them suffer from a primal, animalistic attraction, strong feelings and a tornado of internal struggles.

As always, Samantha is doing a great job holding us captivated and breathless from the first page 'till the last with an amazing writing skill, amazing sexual tension and hilarious banter between Carrick and Leandro that makes us laugh out loud!

Awesome story by one of my favorite authors in the world! Highly recommended!

Breaking Clear (A Full Hearts Novel #3) by MJ Summers - My review written in hebrew & english

יש משהו בספרים של MJ שעושה לי תמיד נעים בלב. אני תמיד מתחברת לקונפליקטים של הדמויות ומתאהבת בכל אחד ואחת מהן. הן לעולם לא – "בחורה בת 20, בתולה, טיפשה ולא יודעת מה לעשות עם עצמה שמתאהבת באיש עסקים שגדול ממנה בעשר שנים, עשיר כקורח שרוצה רק סקס ולא מאמין באהבה" הדמויות של MJ הן אמיתיות, בוגרות ומתמודדות עם קשיים אמיתיים שיכולים לעמוד בדרך של כל אחד מאיתנו.

הסיפור הוא על הארפר יאנג, אותה הכרנו בספר BREAKING LOVE כחברתה הטובה של מייגן.  

היא עובדת כ- ארט דירקטורית במגזין האופנה "סטייל" שבניו יורק ומאוד מצליחה בקריירה שלה. היא בת 36, עצמאית וסופר פעילה. כשהארפר הייתה נערה, אימה עזבה אותה ואת משפחתה לטובת נער בגיל העשרה ומאז לא חזרה, מה שמקשה על הארפר להאמין בזוגיות ובאהבה בכלל. 

כשהקריירה שלה בשיאה, היא נאלצת לעזוב הכל ולנסוע לעיר מגוריה בקולורדו. אביה עובר תאונת עבודה קשה שכמעט ומשתקת אותו והארפר מתייצבת לצידו ומתחייבת לטפל בו לאורך כל תקופת השיקום. היא אמנם נשארת ללא עבודה, אך נחושה לחזור לניו יורק ברגע שאביה יחזור לעמוד על רגליו.

כשהיא מגיעה לקולורדו, היא פוגשת את איבן דונובן *אנחת רווחה נפלטת מפי כרגע* הגבר שכל אחת הייתה רוצה לעצמה וגם הארפר שהייתה מאוהבת בו בסתר בכל שנות נעוריה. הוא בן 38, גרוש, חתיך למותתת, מטפס הרים כתחביב וקבלן בניין למחייתו. כבר ברגע שהם נפגשים, ניצתת האש ביניהם והם מתחילים לבלות ביחד. הפלרטוטים התמימים הופכים מהר מאוד למערכת יחסים סקסית ביותר, ללא מחוייבות ובתיאום ציפיות בין השניים שזה זמני ושבסופה, הארפר חוזרת לניו יורק. הם לא מצפים להתאהב אחד בשנייה, אך גם לא מתוודים על רגשותיהם וכשרגע האמת מגיע, הכל מתחיל להסתבך.

ברכבת הרים של רגשות ופחדים, MJ מכניסה אותנו לעולמם של השניים, כל אחד מצידו, וגורמת לנו להתאהב, לכאוב, לכעוס, לצחוק וגם לבכות עם הדמויות. קראתי כבר את כל ספריה ואני מעריצה מושבעת, בהחלט ממליצה בחום!

There is something in MJ's books that always brings warm feeling in my heart. I always relate to the characters' conflicts and falls in love in each and every one of them. There is no "stupid, virgin 20 year old girl that don't know anything in her life who  falls in love with a man who is a business  man,  10 years older that her,  filthy rich and doesn't believe in love" MJ's characters are real, mature and deals with struggles that may come in the way of our lives.

The story is about Harper Young. We all got to know her on BREAKING LOVE as Magen's best friend. She has a very successful career as the art director of STYLE magazine in New York.  She is 36,  independent and super active. When Harper was a teenager, her mother left her and her family with a teenage boy and never came back, what makes believing in love and trust others very hard for Harper.

While her career is in the right path, she has to leave everything and move to her hometown in Colorado. Her father is involve in a major accident that almost left him paralyze. Harper stays by his side and promise to stay there through all his recovery.  Although  she's unemployed, she is  determined to go back to New York once her father is back on his feet.

When she's arrive in Colorado, she meets Evan Donovan <sigh> THE man that every woman wants for herself, included Harper who was secretly in love with him through all of her teenage years. He is 38 years old divorced man, a HOTTIE to die for, a climber and a constructor. From the moment they meet, there is a fire between the two and they start to hang out together. The innocent flirtations becomes a very steamy, sexy relationship without any obligations  and a very clear fact that it is temporary and that in the end of it Harper is moving back to New York.  They do not expect to fall in love and do not confess to each other, but when the moment of true comes a long – things got messy.  

In a feelings and fears' roller coaster , MJ takes us to each of the pair's world. She makes us fall in love, hurt , angry and laugh with them.

 I have read all of her books and I'm a huge fan! Highly recommended!

The Broken Trilogy by J.L Drake - Review written in Hebrew & English

לקח לי זמן להתחיל לכתוב את הסיקור הזה כי חיכיתי לקרוא את כל הטרילוגיה בשלמותה. אני יכולה להגיד למי שמתחיל אותה עכשיו: יש לכם מזל גדול כי לחכות לכל חלק שייצא היה מורט עצבים!

הטרילוגיה מספרת על סוואנה. בחורה בשנות ה- 20 המאוחרות לחייה, בתו של ראש העיר של ניו יורק, יתומה מאמא וביחסים מאוד מורכבים עם אביה.

בערב אחד נורא היא נחטפת ע"י אנשים שלא מכירה ונשארת בשבי במשך 7 חודשים. כל רגע בשבי הוא סיוט מתמשך של התעללות פיזית, רעב והשפלה קשים שכמעט וגורמים לה לאבד תקווה עד שיום אחד, היא ניצלת ומתחילה לחיות מחדש.

הצוות שמציל אותה נקרא SHADOWS – יחידה צבאית, סודית, שמשכנת אותה בבית בטוח, רחוק מהעיר והעולם שבחוץ. המיקום של הבית סודי בהחלט וכך גם כל הקשור אליו.

בניסיון להתחיל את חייה מחדש, ללמוד לבטוח באנשים ולהתמודד עם זיכרונות השבי הנורא, היא מתקרבת לקול – אוחחח מר קול לוגאן, מפקד הצוות ההורסססס, האחד שחילץ אותה בזרועותיו וה..ה..ה.. אין דרך להגדיר את כליל השלמות הזה???

השניים מתאהבים והופכים להיות הזוג הכי חם בבית. הוא וכל שותפיו לצוות תומכים בה והופכים להיות המשפחה שתמיד רצתה.

קשה לי להמשיך לכתוב את הסיקור הזה מבלי להסגיר מיליון ואחת ספויילרים שאתם ממש לא רוצים לקרוא כאן, אז אסכם בכמה מילים בודדות:

כדאי! רצוי! מותח! סקסי! מרגש! מטלטל! סיפור מושלם מושלם מושלם שמכיל הכל מהכל!

עצה ידידותית: תיקחו 3 ימי חופש (אחד לכל חלק), כי לעצור את הקריאה לטובת העולם שבחוץ, יהיה עינוי! 

It took me a while to write this review because I was waiting to read the whole trilogy. Now I can honestly say 

to everyone who is just about to start reading it: You're so lucky! 'cause waiting for every part of it to be released was nerve racking!

This story is about Savannah - a young woman in her late twenties, daughter of New York's mayor, motherless and a girl who has really complicated relationship with her father. 

In one awful night she's being kidnapped by people she doesn't know and remains captive for 7 months. Every minute being captive is a nightmare of physical abuse, starvation and horrible humiliation that almost 'caused her to lose hope until one day she is being saved and starts living a whole new life. 

The crew that saves her is called SHADOWS – a top secret unit in the army. They take her to a safe house, away from the city and the outside world. The location of the house is top secret and so is everything else about it.

While trying to start her life again, learning to trust people and deal with the awful memories 

of captivity, she is getting close to Cole – Oh Mr. Cole Logan – SMOKING HOT team manager, the one who rescues her in his arms and the… the… the… how can I define that perfection???

The pair fall in love and become the hottest couple in the house. Cole and all his teammates support her and become the family she always wanted.

It's hard for me to continue writing this review because all I'm going to say will reveal 

millions of spoilers that you really don't want to read here, so I will sum it up with a few words:

You should! You have to! Thrilling! Exciting! Emotional! Nerve racking! A perfect story that 

just has it all!

Friendly advice: Take 3 days off (for each book) because once you start, the world outside 

will be nothing but a disturbing torture.

What's left of me/What's left of us - By Amanda Maxlyn (My review written in Hebrew & English)

מעטות הן הפעמים בהן אני באמת מודה על החיים שלי. הדשא של השכן שלי תמיד ירוק יותר ואני לעולם לא עוצרת להריח את הורדים.

שני הספרים האלו בהחלט גרמו לי להריח את הורדים, להוקיר תודה ולהפנים שבריאות היא ממש לא מובנת מאליה...

אתחיל מהסוף - ולפני שתשללו על הסף, יש לסיפור הזה סוף טוב! סוף ששוזר תקווה ואמונה בכל אדם ומשאיר חיוך ענק על הפנים. 

אנדריאה היא בחורה צעירה, בשנות העשרים המוקדמות של חייה. היא חולת בלוקמיה (מגיל 17)  וכששום טיפול לא עוזר לה, הרופאה שלה מציעה לה לקחת חלק בטיפול ניסיוני שיכול להציל את חייה. על מנת לקבל את הטיפול שנמשך חודשים ארוכים היא עוברת לגור אצל אחותה, רחוק מעיר מגוריה. 
בלילה אחד בו היא מחליטה לצאת לבלות ולהתעלם מהעובדה שהיא חולה, היא מכירה את פארקר - חלומה של כל אישה...
השניים חווים לילה סוער, חד פעמי, מה שמתאים לאנדריאה ולמצב בו היא נמצאת. למרות שפארקר משאיר בה טעם של עוד, היא בורחת מדירתו עם האור הראשון ולא מביטה לאחור. עקב מחלתה היא שוללת מערכות יחסים ומאוד דיסקרטית בכל הקשור אליה.

רוצה הגורל והם נפגשים שוב. אנדריאה מנסה להתרחק ממנו ולהימנע מלפתח רגשות כלפיו, אך פארקר לא מרפה. הוא רוצה אותה ורק אותה ומתעקש על להשיג אותה. מסכים לכל תנאי שהיא מציבה ונותן לה להיות הבוס במערכת היחסית המורכבת הזאת.

למה מורכבת אתם שואלים? כי היא מסתירה ממנו את העובדה שחולה במשך תקופה ארוכה ומוצאת דרכים יצירתיות להסתיר את העובדה הכל כך חשובה הזאת.

פארקר הופך להיות כל עולמה וכשסוף סוף היא נפתחת ומספרת לו על מחלתה, הוא נשאר וביחד הם יוצאים למסע מטורף של חיים, חולי, אהבה ענקית והמוות שתמיד רובץ מעל ראשם.

הספר מלא בעליות ומורדות. רגעים קשים מאוד שלא ישאירו עין אחת יבשה בקהל, רגעים סקסיים מאוד שלא ישאירו איזורים אחרים יבשים... אהבה שתמלא לכם את הלב ותגרום לכם להתחנן לאחת כזאת (למי שעדיין אין, כן?)

הספר הזה הולך ללוות אותי לנצח ולגרום לי להעריך את החיים שלי מחדש. מושלם! פשוט מושלם! 

Seldom are the times when I really thank for my life and what I have in them.

The grass is always greener behind the other fence and I'm never one to stop and smell the roses. 

However, both these books have made me stop and smell the roses, and to be thankful for my life and my health, which I shouldn't take for granted at all.

I will start from the ending - before you make your mind about this book and reject it on the basis of possible heartbreak - the book has a HEA! (Happily ever after). An ending that gives you hope and faith in human beings and leaves you with a huge smile on your face.

Aundrea is a young girl, in her early twenties. She is suffering from leukemia (since she was 17) and when she doesn't respond to any of the conventional treatments she's been given, her doctor offers her to part-take in a new, breakthrough treatment that can save her life. To be able to receive the treatment - which should be given to her for long months - she is moving in with her sister, far from the city she's lived in since birth.

One night when Aundrea decides to go out and ignore her disease, she meets Parker - every woman's dream. 

The two share a steamy night - a one night stand - which is fine by Aundrea considering her current situation. Even though Parker sticks in her mind, she runs away from his apartment the minute the sun rises and doesn't look back. Because of her illness, she is against starting relationships and is very discrete with anything to do with her life.

But fate has other plans and the two meet again. Aundrea is trying to push him away and to prevent developing feelings from him, but Parker just wouldn't let go. He wants her and only her and he insists on getting her. He accepts every rule and ultimatum she gives him and allows her to be the boss of this complicated relationship. Why complicated, you ask? Because she is hiding the fact that she is sick from him for a very long time and even finds creative ways to keep him in the dark.

Parker is becoming Aundrea's whole world and when she finally tells him about the disease, they stick together and have the journey of a life, sickness, great love and the death that's always there, lurking from the shadows.

The book is full of ups and downs. Of very difficult moments that will have you shedding tears for sure. There are also sexy times that will keep other parts of your body moisturized. There's love that would make your heart beg to have what these two have (if you don't have a love like this already).

This book is going to stick with me forever and to remind me to appreciate my life. 

Perfect, simply perfect!

Stone Walls By A.M Madden (my review in Hebrew & English)

זה המשפט שמשך אותי בדף הסופרת להיכנס לקרוא את התקציר של הספר. 

השם נשמע מוכר?בן סטון/בן סטורם - ביררתי, אין קשר בין השניים ;-)

כל מי שמכירה אותי יודעת שיש לי חולשה לכוחות הביטחון. אני קוראת עליהם. כותבת שני ספרים במקביל על שני שוטרים מעלפים וגם עובדת איתם ביום יום (אבל זה כבר סיפור אחר…מאכזב למדי.)

כאן נכנס בן סטון לתמונה. שוטר ניו יורקי עם עבר טראומטי שגורם לו להציב חומות סביב הלב שלו וחשיבה גרועה על עצמו שמביאה אותו לחיות חיים בנאליים של קשרים ללא מחויבות. הקשר המחייב היחיד שלו הוא לעבודה. "My job is my mistress"

בערב יום הולדתו ה- 28, השותף שלו, רוב, ובת זוגו, אנדריאה, מתעקשים להכיר לו מישהי. הוא כמובן מתנגד ומבהיר להם שאינו מעוניין במערכת יחסים אבל כדי לא לאכזב אותם, הוא מגיע ומופתע לגלות את ההפך.

אלה פרקר, חברתה הטובה של אנדריאה, גם היא מחלימה ממקרה טראומטי ששינה את חייה ועם רצון מאוד ברור לא להיכנס למערכת יחסים. כשאנדריאה מתעקשת לגרור אותה לפאב ולהכיר לה את בן היא מבהירה לה את כוונותיה וגם היא מופתעת לגלות את ההפך.

בעיצומה של מלחמה פנימית של השניים להתנגד אחד לשני, בן ורוב מתחילים לעבוד עם ה- FBI על חקירה הכוללת משפחות פשע, סמים, רציחות ועוד. העבר של בן מתערבב עם ההווה שלו בזמן שגם העבר של אלה מתערבב עם אותו הווה. כיווני החקירה מביאים אותו להתמודד עם תגליות לא פשוטות לגביה שהוא חייב לשמור אותם בסוד מתוקף תפקידו.

בזמן שהוא נלחם להגן עליה מכל התגליות בתיק החקירה, הוא נלחם גם בכל הרגשות החדשים שמציפים אותו. בזמן שהתפקיד שלו הוא הדבר הראשון בסדר העדיפויות שלו, החומות נסדקים וסדרי העדיפויות משתנים.

הספר כתוב גם מהצד שלו וגם משלה. אהבתי מאוד את הדומיננטיות של בן בספר ואת העובדה שהסופרת הכניסה אותנו יחד איתו לכל פרטי החקירה.

בשפה מדליקה מלאה בהומור, מתח מיני ואקשן לאורך כל הסיפור – זה בהחלט ספר שלא כדאי לפספס! ואם כבר אהבה – זאת האהבה שאני מאחלת לעצמי! 

Have you met Ben Stone?

This is the sentence that drew me into reading this book's blurb.

Everyone who knows me know how much I like the special forces. I like reading about them, I like writing about them (I write two separate stories about drool-worthy cops) and I work with them on a day-to-day basis (this part is kind of disappointing, though!).

This is where Ben Stone gets into the picture. He is an NYPD cop with a traumatic past that made him build walls around his heart and some personal issues that make him live inane, boring life without meaningful relationship. His only strong relationship is with his job ("My job is my mistress").

On the evening of his 28th birthday, his partner, Rob, and his girlfriend, Andrea, insist on introducing him to a new woman. Obviously, he refuses and tells them that he doesn't do relationships. At the end, though, he doesn't want to disappoint them so he shows up and that's when he gets thoroughly surprised.

Ella Parker, Andrea's best friend, has been healing from a traumatic experience herself. She, too, doesn't do relationship and has been through a life-altering experience that's definitely left her scarred. When Andrea drags her into a pub and forces her into meeting Ben, she, too, is all about not giving it a go, but she turns out to be just as surprised as Ben.

In the midst of an internal war with himself, Ben and Rob start working on an FBI case in which they get mixed up with mob families and murder cases, among other things. Ben's past gets mixed with his present, at the same time Ella's past mixes up with her present. The investigation he leads in this FBI case lead him to revelations about Ella he has to keep for himself, as a part of his professional obligation.

Whilst fighting to defend her from all the revelations he discovered in the investigation, he also finds himself fighting his overwhelming emotions. While his job is still his first priority, the walls around his heart crack and his priorities change.

The book is written from two POV's - Ben and Ella's. I loved Ben's dominance in the book and the fact that the author has given us a glimpse of all parts of the investigation.

In a well-written style, full of humor, sexual tension and action throughout the story - this is definitely a book you don't want to miss out on. 

If I ever do love - this is the kind of love I'd like for myself! 

Chasing the Dragon (Deception Duet #1) - By TK Leigh (Reviewd in Hebrew & English)

למה תמיד שאני רוצה לסקר את הספרים שלTK  המילים שלי נתקעות?? כאילו כל מילה שאכתוב לא תבטא מספיק את מידה ההערכה שיש לי לסופרת ולכישרון הכתיבה שלה. במילה אחת - מושלמת!

הספר מספר את סיפורם של מקנזי דלנו וטיילר בורנהם (כן, כן, קראתן נכון את שם המשפחה שלו! זה אח של בעלי היקר!). מקנזי, היא בחורה צעירה ה"חמושה" ביומן צמוד, סודות גדולים מעברה וחומות הגנה.  היא מנהלת את חייה תחת מסגרת אחת של זמנים מוגדרים, שליטה מוחלטת וחוסר אמון באהבה. קצת לפני שהיא מגשימה את חלומה ופותחת את המסעדה שלה, היא מכירה את טיילר (דינג! דינג! דינג!) איש מסתורי שמסקרן אותה ומצליח לאט לאט לחדור אל תוך עולמה. מה שמקנזי לא יודעת זה שלטיילר יש סוד – הוא נשכר ע"י אחיו (אלכסנדר אהובי) לעקוב אחריה ולגלות פרטים על מקום הימצאו של אביה החשוד במעורבות במעשה טרור.

טיילר מצליח להתקרב אליה, נקשר אליה וכנגד כל המלחמות שלו מול עצמו ומול התפקיד שאמור לבצע, מתאהב בה עד כלות. טיילר של העבודה מתערבב עם טיילר האמיתי שמתמודד עם כאב אובדן האהבה של חייו. גם הוא מתחבא בתוך חומות ההגנה שהציב סביב עצמו ושלאט לאט מתחילים להתפורר בזכות היכרותו עם מקנזי.

בתוך כל מערבולת הרגשות הזאת קורים עוד ועוד אירועים הקשורים בעברה המורכב והסודי של מקנזי שמסכנים את חייה וטיילר עושה ככל ביכולתו להגן עליה אך בו זמנית ממשיך להסתיר ממנה את הסוד הנורא שמעיק עליו בלי סוף.

מסיפור אהבה חם וטעים במיוחד לסיפור מתח מרתק, TK גולשת איתנו על גלי הטירוף ולא משאירה כאן רגע דל של שקט. מקונספירציות לטרוריסטים, מטרוריסטים לקטעי סקס מעולים ומקטעי הסקס לרגעים מרגשים שייגעו בכל נקודה בכן.

נהניתי מאוד מאוד מאוד ויותר מכל, התרגשתי לפגוש את הדמויות שהפכו את טרילוגיית Beautiful Mess למה שהיא – יצירת מופת!

לגבי החלק השני של הספר (יש רק שניים, אל דאגה!) – מכינה את הפינצטה ואת השערות ברגליים להמתנה מורטת עצבים...

ולא לשכוח בנות – אלכסנדר שלי ורק שלי!!! J

 Why is it that every time I want to write a review for one of T.K Leigh's books, my words get stuck and I'm all tongue-tied?!

No matter what I'll say, it will never do justice to my appreciation to T.K's talent.

This book tells us the story of Mackenzie Delano and Tyler Burnham (Yup, you read it right. Tyler is my husband's brother!). Mackenzie is a young woman who obsessed with her timetable. She carries huge secrets and high walls that she's built around herself. She runs her life under times and codes written by her and her alone, has complete self-control over everything in her life and doesn't believe in love.

A little before her dream of opening her own restaurant comes true, she bumps into Tyler (Ding, ding, ding!), a mysterious man who managed to dig his way into her world, albeit slowly and cautiously. What Mackenzie doesn't know is that Tyler has a secret - he was hired by his brother (AKA Alexander, the love of my life) to follow her and discover details about the whereabouts of her father, who is suspected to be involved with terrorist organizations.

Tyler is successful in getting closer to her, but he also gets attached, and despite his inner wars with himself and the mission he was sent to accomplish, he falls in love with her. Work Tyler and Real Tyler seem to get mixed up when he deals with the loss of the love of his life. He, who is hiding behind tall walls himself, finds these walls breaking thanks to Mackenzie.

Inside this whirlwind romance, more and more events related to Mackenzie's complicated past are starting to unfold. Tyler does everything he can to protect his lover, but he also continued on keeping this secret from her, even though it is absolutely killing him.

T.K is riding with us on the waves of complete and utter madness, from a delicious love stories to a thrilling plot line, not leaving a moment for us to catch our breath. From conspiracies to terrorists, from terrorists to mind-blowing sex scenes and a lot of emotional moments that would make every nerve in your body respond to this story. It just has it all!

I had tons of fun reading this novel, and more than anything, I was excited to get back and meet the characters who made the Beautiful Mess trilogy the masterpiece that it was.

As for the second part of the book (there are only two of them, not to worry) - I already have my twizzer in hand since I'll be plucking my hair in anticipation for the next one!

And don't forget, girls - Alexander is mine and mine only!
